Who Are the Social Media Influencers - Influencing Your Children?

If you are like me, I look at what is happening amongst our youth today and I am concerned. Influencers all over social media are winning the hearts and minds of our young people, and I’m not convinced they are influencing them to realize their true purpose in life.

While technology has its positive aspects and has advanced our knowledge and access to information, it has also become like an addiction for youth and adults alike...tearing at the fabric of authentic relationships at home with family.

Many young people have a desire to achieve big goals in their life. But they don’t always know how. They want to make a difference and take advantage of the talents they have. But if they not being encouraged at home, they will look for direction and purpose in other places and from other people than their parents.

With no direction and encouragement from parents, young people will look somewhere…anywhere to find meaning and purpose. Unfortunately, the internet and social media has become the resource for many young minds, and they are being influenced by shallow and inauthentic dreams that are not aligned with their real purpose for their lives.

BUT WE CAN CHANGE THAT.

Introducing…

From the very beginning of writing my book, From The Margins To The Mainstream, Preparing Latino Youth for Leadership in the 21st Century, my desire has been to do my part in reaching out to, recruiting, and developing more adult Youth Mentors that in turn would develop more youth community leaders.

It gives me great joy to know that others are using these leadership principles to expand upon the stories, thoughts, and exercises I share to help more young individuals experience greater levels of their true potential and inspire them to dream, run, fly, and lead!

Youth on a Mission Mentor Certification Training

This YOM Training is for community leaders who are mentoring high school seniors and young adults from the ages of 18-24 or beyond. It is perfect for young men and women seeking direction for their life purpose and professional career.

This is a two-day training. The YOM Mentor will be equipped to share the core YOM principles to guide youth to discover and develop their life purpose, vision, and legacy.
